To our valued customers

As we move towards alert level 2, we would like to advise what this will look like for us all.

From Monday 18th May, our branches will be returning to working a single shift in keeping with our normal operating practices prior to COVID-19. There are some considerations however, to keep in mind as we move towards a post-Covid 19 way of life:

• Physical distancing is critical – everyone should remain at least 1 metre from each other, and ask that you respect this need.

• Contact Tracing will be of a “gold” standard - we will maintain a comprehensive and 100% accurate record of all people who are on site at any time on every day, and ask that you supply your details when required.

• Business must remain as “contactless” as possible. This will mean that our current system of truck drop off and collection of parts orders outside will continue – we appreciate everyone’s co-operation. Please see details below regarding our current process for service and parts drop offs/pick ups.

We believe the combination of these operating practices and requirements will enable everyone to remain safe, while making a significant step towards business operations for the future.

Service

We are now able to provide CoF, Service and Repair services for all our customers. Please contact your local Truckstops branch via phone or email so we can schedule this in for a time that suits you. We understand that vehicles will breakdown and/or need urgent work, however, in order to ensure we can meet your needs all vehicles must be pre-booked. Please phone/email the branch Service Advisors as usual.  

We are beginning to experience larger volumes of bookings and we will do our best to provide you with your preferred booking slot or work with you on an alternative slot. We will do our very best to accommodate you so please discuss your requirements with your local branch.

During this time, we will not be collecting vehicles or visiting customers. When you arrive to drop a vehicle off, please phone the branch advising you are here and discuss any last minute needs. Vehicle keys should be left in the vehicle and where possible please remove any personal items from the truck.

In the interest of safety drivers will not be permitted to use the onsite facilities to wait for their vehicle to be serviced/repaired. Our courtesy vehicles will also be unavailable during Level 2.

Parts

We are now able to provide parts to all of our customers. Our Parts Distribution Centre is open and supporting our branch and dealer network. For parts orders or enquiries please email or phone in advance. Parts pick up will be by arrangement, or via courier only.

Customers who attend our parts and service environments are reminded of the social distances required by Level 2. Please do not be offended if our staff refuse entry to any customer who is visibly sick.

Contact Tracking

Under level 2, we are required to maintain a register of all personnel who had contact with the branch. This information is more than we would usually request in order to meet the Ministry of Health’s contact tracing requirements. Please be assured this will only be visible to certain staff at the branch and will not be used for anything other than contact tracing without your permission. The information will be deleted after 4 weeks as per the requirements. We would appreciate your assistance in working with our staff to provide this information when requested.
