Rebecca pulls out all the stops.
Rebecca Clark represented Truckstops Whangarei at this year’s Wellsford Lions Roaring Truck Show held at the Wellsford Centennial Park, Northland on the 24th of February.
Rebecca, who holds strong customer relationships in Northland, managed to sweet talk a number of customers into coming in and showing off their trucks on the Truckstops site. Aysha Logging rolled in their impressive Mack Titan. Produce Connections showed off their Hino 700 Series. Ben Reed Enterprises showcased their two black beauties - Volvo FH16 540hp & 750hp. Wayne Croft Transport also represented with their seriously cool Mack Trident.
“I am so thankful for these customers who were more than willing to spend hours cleaning their gear & making the trip to park up with us” Rebecca said.
Furthermore two of the trucks on the Truckstops stand took out prizes. Produce Connections Hino 700 Series won ‘Best Japanese’ truck and Ben Reeds Volvo FH16 540 won ‘Best under 3 years’ truck.
The weather didn’t’ play ball in the morning dropping plenty of rain but cleared up around 8-9 am which was perfect for the show starting at 10am.
To generate some further interest on the site Rebecca ran a ‘go in the draw’ competition with the winner taking home an Xbox. Entry was by gold coin donation with all preceding’s going to the Lions Club who organised the event. “We filled the bucket for them so that was good!” said Rebecca.
The deserving winner was Darrin Murcott who is a keen truck photographer & driver for Menefy Trucking. Very fitting given Menefy Transport is a huge Mack customer who also runs Volvo and Hino’s.
“All in all, it was a great day & everyone was blown away by Truckstops input to the show.”
