A father and son and an old farm truck is part of a new video campaign promoting the Hino 2019 Rugby World Cup Japan promotion.

The competition is open to anyone who buys a Hino between January 1 and June 30, 2019.

Hino has dropped the second of its two-part video series promoting the competition. The video tells the story of a father and son working together in the family business while listening to the 1987 and 2015 Rugby World Cup play out on the radio.

The business has grown and the video ends with the realisation the pair need a new truck to support the business. Hino general manager Darren Salt also makes a special appearance.

Salt says he’s “thrilled” to offer customers the prize.

“Hino has been part of the New Zealand trucking community for 55 years, so we’re just as excited as anyone to see the All Blacks in Japan. We’re just looking forward to bringing some of our fantastic Hino customers along with us,” he says.

As part of the package, the eight winners will also get a guided tour of Kyoto and Tokyo, tickets to the opening ceremony, and Japan vs Russia and New Zealand vs South Africa pool games.
