Truckstops Hamilton opens its new home at Ruakura Superhub

Our new Truckstops Hamilton service centre has officially opened at Ruakura Superhub, giving Waikato truck operators more workshop capacity and convenient access to support close to the region’s major freight routes.

Officially opened on 2 June 2026, the development is our largest Truckstops workshop in the North Island and three times larger than our former Quentin Drive site.  It’s a significant step forward for our Hamilton team and the customers who rely on us to keep their trucks working.

More room to keep you moving

The new facility includes a 14-bay truck service centre, additional COF capacity and parts support for Hino, Volvo, Mack, and UD trucks.  A Volvo and Mack showroom also forms part of the development.

For customers, the expanded workshop means greater capacity for servicing and inspections, with facilities designed to improve turnaround times and help get trucks back on the road.

Close to where our customers work

Located on Te Ipukura Street, the new centre is just 600 metres from State Highway 1 and approximately one kilometre from Ruakura Inland Port.  Its position within the freight corridor connecting Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga puts our team close to busy transport routes.

“The site is only 600 metres from State Highway 1, making it easier to get trucks in and back on the road,” says Hamilton Branch Manager, Jason Dwane.

Investing in the road ahead

The Hamilton opening follows new developments in Christchurch and Tauranga, completing approximately $100 million of investment by Sime Motors across the three locations.  Together, these facilities strengthen the support available to New Zealand transport operators.

The official opening included a karakia led by mana whenua, marking an important milestone for the team and our place in the growing Ruakura Superhub community.
