Celebrating Growth, Achievement, and Experience at Truckstops Taupō

There is plenty to celebrate at Truckstops Taupō, with multiple members of the team recently reaching significant milestones in their careers.

From completing specialist training and trade qualifications to developing leadership capability and recognising long service, the achievements of Adriaan Labuschagne, Jaden Hill, and Marius Volschenk highlight the experience, commitment, and ongoing development within the Truckstops network.

Adriaan Labuschagne builds his technical capability

Diesel Technician Adriaan has recently completed his Wheel Alignment Course, adding another valuable skill to his technical toolkit.

Ongoing training is an important part of developing well-rounded technicians, particularly as modern heavy vehicles continue to become more technically advanced. By expanding his wheel alignment knowledge and capability, Adriaan is continuing to grow as a technician while also strengthening the range of expertise available within the Taupō workshop.

Adriaan was joined by Taupō Service Foreman Marius Volschenk to recognise the achievement and present his certificate.

Jaden Hill completes his MITO Level 4 Apprenticeship

For Jaden, another major milestone has been reached with the completion of his MITO Level 4 Apprenticeship.

Becoming a qualified technician represents the culmination of years of practical experience, learning and commitment. Jaden’s achievement reflects the work he has put into developing his skills throughout his apprenticeship and marks an important next step in his career with Truckstops.

Jaden received his qualification alongside Service Foreman Marius Volschenk, who has been part of the Taupō team supporting the development of technicians within the workshop.

Marius Volschenk celebrates seven years and continued leadership development

The team has also been celebrating Marius Volschenk, who recently reached seven years of service with Truckstops.

Marius originally joined Truckstops as a diesel technician and has spent the past four and a half years as Service Foreman at Truckstops Taupō, helping lead the workshop and support the technicians working within it.

Alongside his service milestone, Marius also recently completed the company’s Management Development Course (MDC), further developing the leadership skills he brings to his role.

Branch Manager Dean Pine presented Marius with his MDC certificate in June, recognising both his completion of the programme and his continued development within Truckstops.

Building capability within the Taupō team

While each achievement represents an important individual milestone, together they tell a bigger story about the Truckstops team.

Technical training, apprenticeships, career progression, leadership development, and long-serving employees all contribute to building a capable workshop that can continue supporting customers and keeping trucks moving.
