Company History
The Company was originally established in 1984 as parts and workshop service provider for the new trucks imported by the sales companies within the Truck Investments Limited group.
A branch network was established with a national parts distribution centre (PDC) in Palmerston North. Initially these were Mack, ERF and Hino trucks and the Company has expanded over recent years with the addition of other truck brands. Today our company is the largest supplier of truck and bus parts and workshop services in the New Zealand Road Transport Industry.

Truck Stops is dedicated to meeting the parts and service needs with a nationwide chain of branches specialising in the repair and maintenance of trucks, buses and trailers.
Truck Stops NZ Ltd are the New Zealand Parts and Service dealers for Mack trucks; Renault trucks; Volvo trucks and buses; Hino trucks, buses and coaches; and All Makes range of quality truck and trailer parts.
Truck Stops have serviced the New Zealand heavy transport industry since 1984 through a nationwide network of branches. These branches are staffed by 166 service, 77 parts and 40 administration personnel dedicated to meeting the parts and service needs of our customers.
Truck Stops' philosophy is to minimise an operator's downtime with fast efficient mechanical service with a 24 hour parts backup. The latest electronic diagnostic equipment being used by our service technicians saves the customer valuable time and money.
Truck Stops has a National Parts Distribution Centre located at Palmerston North, holds an extensive range of franchise and All Makes parts. More than 150,000 part numbers are registered on our national file to support Truck Stops branches and dealers nationwide. The parts inventory is accessed via an online computer-based system which provides instant information to all 15 branches in New Zealand.
Shareholders
Truck Stops (NZ) Ltd is a fully owned subsidiary of the Truck Investments Group. Truck Investments Group is owned by Sime Darby of Malaysia.
The Truck Investments Group has grown to become one of New Zealand's leading suppliers of new medium and heavy commercial vehicles, in addition to servicing the Road Transport Industry nationwide with a parts and workshop service through the Truck Stops network.
